I’m still kind of in shock over his death.  He was so much a part of the computer industry, having revolutionized how we all do things today.  Having grown up as a member of an IBM family, we had a PC sooner than other households.  I’ve seen it go from DOS to what we have now, with a Mac thrown in there when I was a young adult.

Just yesterday, my business partner and I were having lunch and I mentioned to her, “This is just so sad about Steve Jobs, huh?” and our server, a young-ish kid (to me, maybe early 20′s) said, “Who’s Steve Jobs?” I said, “He was to Apple and Mac what Bill Gates is to Microsoft.”

He looked at me with a blank stare and said, “Who’s Bill Gates?”

What a sad commentary on the youth of today.
