Overview
Papa John’s Pizza was established in 1984 by John Schnatter in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He started his pizza business in a bar his father and a partner owned. John bought out the partner’s half with the money he got from selling his Camaro. The company is now the third largest delivery pizza and take-out restaurant chain in the United States, following Pizza Hut and Domino’s Pizza. Papa John’s Pizza is a family of 3,300 establishments worldwide including 2,600 in the United States, while the rest are located in over 30 countries. Papa John’s slogan is “Better ingredients. Better Pizza. Papa John’s.”
