Overview
Planet Hollywood is a restaurant inspired by the glamorous Hollywood world and spirit. It was launched in New York in 1991. The financial support was offered by Hollywood stars such as Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Demi Moore, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The brains behind the concept were former Hard Rock Cafe CEO, Robert Ian Earl, and Keith Barrish, financier, real estate developer, and film producer. The two conceived the Planet Hollywood restaurants based on the Hard Rock Cafe concept. Many of the key people involved in the Hard Rock Cafe were recruited and co-opted by Planet Hollywood.
